On June 22nd myself and around 35 of Tony Hoppers close family and friends will be undertaking the “Ride to the Sun” challenge. It is an overnight 100-mile cycling challenge from Carlisle to Edinburgh.

On 9th October 2018 Tony Hopper aged 42 died of Motor Neurone disease. He left behind his wife Sue and three boys aged 5, 9 and 11. Tony was a very loved son, uncle, brother amongst many other titles, but above all else he was a very special, loving and warm person.

There are few people who make an impact like Tony did in his short life and anyone who knew him, was proud to know him.

It was Tony’s wish that any fundraising done in his name would be aimed at Eden Valley Hospice. This is one way that we, as a community can ensure that this service can help others in need.
